The Old Homestead

Summer 2009 at The Old Homestead

Special events to entice extending your visit

Attention Bird Watchers, and who of us is not when we know that Barnet has a very special pair of nesting bald eagles.  They are huge and beautiful.  We have a nearby excellent viewing place where you can easily see that white head peeking over the edge of the nest.  And we have eaglets! UPDATE: The nest keeps growing as it now accommodates a family of four.  The babies are growing very very rapidly.  They should not fledge the nest until August so there is still Eagle watching time!  Come enjoy eagle watching!
